Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise is a thick, white creamy

sauce often used as a condiment. It is

composed by eggs, oil, and a small

amount of vinegar if you want.

The mayonnaise is used with meat, fish, seafood and vegetables, as well as prepared food, for example: salads, hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, pasta, chips, etc.

When on April 18, 1756 the Marshall Richelieu and his relatives attacked San’s Philip Fort of Brick and they invaded the island, they could try the sauce all-y-oli with great surprise, and it is said that in the banquet to celebrate the victory there was served a similar, renowned sauce mahonnaise (of Mahón), to celebrate the victory of the duke on the British in the port of Brick in Menorca.

Moreover, mayonnaise is used in many countries like, Chile, Japan, Russia, China… It is an useful sauce for a variety of food.
